divx movies on itunes

i was just thinking about the best way to manage my movie collections. it took me a whole day to find what i’m looking for, but at the end of the day, i finally got it. once i’ve got itunes to recognize avi, mkv, mpg, divx, and other video formats, i can manage my movies in a whole new way.

i like my itunes better now, 😉

  3. Seriously – how did you do that? This seems impossible to me. I tried a lot of things and failed. The only option seems to be to convert the movies into the itunes format… and that is a huge hassle. Give us a little hint please!

  5. okay, so first thing first.
    you could only do this on a mac. an osx to be exact, and i assumed that you already had perian (http://perian.org/) installed to play them.

    there are two ways to do this,
    so just take your pick.

    first by using an applescript which can be found here:

    and second is by using a software called videodrive, which you can download here:
    http://www.aroona.net/VideoDrive/Home.html
