found my old startrek uniform as chief medical officer of the starship uss leviathan, ncc-78437, from nusagames’ fanfic project for star trek, back in late 90’s. it’s almost ten years since the last time i put this on. and i think it’s perfect, and i think it’s perfect for the upcoming premiere of the new startrek movie, which is only a month away.
i’ll just keep this in my sight then, 
been meaning to do this for awhile. basically, i needed a backup image for minerva, including all settings, configurations, and modifications for each feature and application. so, i did a fresh install of the os and applications, then spent the whole day redoing, adjusting, modifying, updating, and finally, creating a backup file for everything i just did. this way, i won’t have to go through the same thing each time minerva crashes and went unfixable.
i was just thinking about best way to manage my movie collections, and that thought had me surfin’ here and there, and took me the whole day, but i finally got it. spent the last few days reorganizing, and it’s done. once i’ve got itunes to recognize avi, mkv, mpg, divx, and other video formats, i can manage my movies in a whole new way.

i was just checking out some posts in plurk a few days ago, when stumbled on a link posted by kappachan, who found it here. i then went to the original link itself to see the complete set of doraemon costume play, made by pandabox. the works are simply amazing! i had a great time browsing through the images, watched it transformed into many different characters,

halah, rupanya memang udah selama itu ya nggak ngikutin festival musik. kalo diingat-ingat, ternyata terakhir kalinya itu adalah saat menyaksikan event jakjazz tahun sembilan tujuh, hahaha. udah sepuluh tahun lebih ya? pantes aja harganya udah beda jauh banget sekarang, wong di tiket yang terakhir itu masuknya cuma lima puluh ribu perak saja. hihihihi,
jujur aja, ini juga pertama kalinya kok datang ke java jazz. minatnya pun karena swing out sister dipastikan tampil sebagai salah satu main talent, hehe. kesempatan untuk melihat langsung aksi live! duo corinne drewery dan andy connell? whoa! nggak boleh dilewatkan!
ehm, tuh kan ngelantur lagi, 
anyway, hari itu sampai juga ke tempat tujuan, dan selama berada di sana sempat menyaksikan beberapa pertunjukan lainnya seperti peabo bryson, tompi, tohpati, roy ayers, brian mcknight dan eric darius. nama roy ayers memang udah nggak asing lagi, sejak mendengarkan vokalnya di lagu “when you think of me” dari eric benét. opa yang satu ini tampil funky di exhibition hall. apalagi pemain saxophonenya, sampai guling-gulingan segala di atas panggung, hahahaha.
lalu ada eric darius. nah, yang satu ini justru nggak sengaja nontonnya, hehe. ketika lewat di depan cendrawasih room bersama teman, sekelebat terdengar bunyi pukulan cymbal khas gospel drumming dari dalam ruangan. sambil cengar-cengir, tanpa tunggu komando lagi kami mendadak belok ke arah cendrawasih, hihihihi. sampai di dalam, ternyata ada eric darius bersama band-nya yang tengah bersiap untuk tampil. tak disangka, gaya permainannya justru yang dicari-cari selama ini. jadi aja anteng sampai lagu terakhir beres.
beres dari cendrawasih, langsung ikutan ngantri untuk swing out sister. unik, itu yang terpikir saat mereka mulai tampil, karena rasanya memang baru kali ini event besar sekelas java jazz ditutup dengan permainan akustik. yup, akustik, karena malam itu swing out sister tampil tanpa drums. corinne drewery terlihat menarik dengan baju berwarna cerah. tak heran, mengingat corinne sempat menjadi fashion designer sebelum tergabung di swing out sister bersama andy connell. usianya yang tahun ini genap lima puluh tahun pun seakan tak menghalanginya untuk tetap tampil enerjik di panggung.
